Group messaging is a really helpful feature on modern smart phones that lets you simultaneously send messages and communicate with multiple people at once. Your iPhone manages a group message in a single conversation, much like the conversations that you are likely having with individual people already.
But if you can’t seem to get group messaging to work properly, or if your group messages are appearing as parts of individual message conversations with the individual people in the group conversation, then group messaging may not be enabled on your iPhone. ur tutorial below will show you how to find and enable group messaging on an iPhone 7.
How to Enable Group Messaging in iOS 10
The steps in this article were performed on an iPhone 7 Plus in iOS 10.3.3. This guide will assume that your account with your cellular provider does not have group messaging disabled or blocked for some reason.
Step 1: Open the Settings app.
Step 2 Scroll down and select the Messages option.
Step 3: Scroll to the SMS/MMS section of the menu, then tap the button to the right of Group Messaging to turn it on.
If the Group Messaging option won’t turn on, then try restarting your phone. You can do this by holding down the Power button on the right side of the phone, sliding the Slide to Power Off button to the right side of the screen, then waiting for about 30 seconds. You can then tap press and hold the Power button again until you see a white apple logo.
