The Shift key on your iPhone’s keyboard provides you with the means to create an uppercase letter.
But if you often use the caps lock key on your computer keyboard and would like that option on your smartphone, then you might be wondering if it’s possible.
Our tutorial will show you how to get the caps lock option on your iPhone keyboard so that it’s easier for you to type in all capital letters.
How to Turn on the iPhone Caps Lock Setting
- Open Settings.

- Select Keyboard.
- Turn on Enable Caps Lock.
Our guide continues below with additional information on how to enable caps lock on an iPhone, including pictures of these steps.
Have you ever tried to type a text message in all capital letters on your iPhone?
Repeatedly pressing the Shift key before each letter can be cumbersome, so you may be wondering if there is a way to do a caps lock, like on a full-sized computer keyboard, so that you can type in capital letters a little more efficiently.
Fortunately, it’s possible for you to do this by pressing the Shift key twice.
This will put a horizontal line under the Shift key to let you know that the keyboard is in “Caps Lock” mode. However, this setting can possibly be turned off, so follow the steps in the tutorial below to find the Caps Lock setting for your iPhone keyboard so that you can enable it and stop using this handy little feature.
