Did you ever get a text message from one of your friends that contained a bunch of cool little icons or pictures? Then you went to try and create them yourself, only to get stumped figuring out how they did it? It was done with something called an Emoji keyboard and, luckily, it is something that you already have on your iphone 5, so it won’t cost you anything extra. But this keyboard is not enabled by default, so you will need to follow a few simple steps to activate it on your device and start creating text messages with emoji characters.
Do you need a new case for your iPhone 5? Amazon has tons of them, often for much lower prices than you can find in a brick and mortar store. Click here to see their collection.
Step 1: Touch the Settings icon.
Step 2: Select the General option.
Step 3: Scroll down and touch the Keyboard button.
Step 4: Scroll down and touch the Keyboards option.
Step 5: Select the Add New Keyboard option.
Step 6: Scroll down and select the Emoji option.
You can then open your Messages app, and touch the globe icon at the bottom-left corner of the keyboard.
This will give you a row of tabs at the bottom of the Emoji keyboard, and you can select any of the available icons to insert them into your messages.
Note that these emojis may not show up if you send them in messages to people that do not have iPhones.
