There’s no iMessage app for Windows, but you can send and receive iMessages from a Windows PC using Microsoft’s Phone Link app with your iPhone. Open Phone Link on Windows 11 (or Windows 10), choose iPhone, scan the QR code with your iPhone’s camera, pair over Bluetooth, and allow notifications and contact sharing on the iPhone. How to connect your iPhone to Phone Link
- On your PC, click Start, type Phone Link, and open it.
- Choose iPhone.
- Scan the QR code with your iPhone’s Camera app and follow the prompts to install or open Link to Windows.
- Confirm the Bluetooth pairing code on both devices.
- On the iPhone, go to Settings > Bluetooth, tap the ⓘ next to your PC, and turn on Show Notifications, Sync Contacts, and Share System Notifications.
- Back on the PC, click Messages.

Messages you send from the PC may not appear in the iPhone’s Messages app the same way. Microsoft continues to update Phone Link, so features can change.

Troubleshooting
- Messages tab is empty: Check that Show Notifications is on in the iPhone’s Bluetooth settings for your PC.
- Keeps disconnecting: Keep the iPhone close to the PC and make sure Bluetooth stays on. Open Link to Windows on the iPhone once in a while.
- Can’t pair: Remove the PC from the iPhone’s Bluetooth list and the iPhone from Settings > Bluetooth & devices on the PC, then set up Phone Link again.
