Your iPhone 7 can display the phone number associated with its cellular line in Settings. You can also view it from your contact card or carrier account. Keep in mind that the number shown on the phone can occasionally be outdated after a SIM or carrier change.
Find the number in Settings
- Open Settings.
- Select Phone.
- Look for My Number.
On some configurations, you can also open Settings > General > About and review cellular information associated with the device.
Check your own contact card
Open the Contacts app or the Contacts section of Phone and look for My Card. If you previously saved your own number there, it can be a convenient reference. However, a contact card is manually editable and does not prove which number the carrier currently assigns to the SIM.
Call or text another phone
If caller ID is enabled and service is working, placing a call to a trusted nearby phone can show the originating number. Do not rely on this method when caller ID is hidden, the line uses business calling features, or a carrier service substitutes another outgoing number.
Ask the carrier when the displayed number looks wrong
After porting a number, replacing a SIM, or changing service, iOS can temporarily show stale information. Check the carrier’s official app/account page or contact its support team for the authoritative line assignment.
The iPhone 7 no longer supports current iOS releases. Menu wording may differ from newer iPhones, but the Phone/About areas remain the logical places to inspect line and device information.
