Switching Between 13 iPhone Apps
The steps in this post were completed on an iPhone 13 running iOS 16.5.
These processes apply to many further versions of iOS as well as the vast majority of modern iPhone modes, including the following:
- The iPhone 13 Mini
- the iPhone 13 Pro
- the iPhone 13 Pro Max
Step 1: Swipe up and then left from the bottom of the screen.
Remember, this must be one continuous motion. You cannot remove your finger from the screen.

Step 2: Tap and open the app you wish to switch to.
Now that you know how to switch apps on iPhone 13, you can start doing so instead of using one app and then searching for the second app on the Home screen and pressing it to use that app instead.
