Method 3: Unhide Hidden Messages in a Chat
GroupMe has let users hide individual messages from their own view by long pressing a message and choosing a hide option. Hiding is generally described as affecting only your screen, not other members’ view. Microsoft’s current GroupMe help focuses on deleting messages and does not document the hide feature, so treat the labels below as a guide and look for similar wording in your version.
- Open the chat that contains the hidden messages.

Troubleshooting
The chat is not in the Archive list

I do not see an Unarchive or Archive option
Update GroupMe from the App Store and reopen the app. Older versions may use the word Hide or place the option in a different menu.
Chats disappeared on my iPad
GroupMe’s help for iPad suggests tapping Chat in the top corner of the screen and rotating the iPad to landscape view. Your chats should then appear.
Rejoin Group does not work
If you were removed rather than leaving on your own, only current members can add you back. The group may also require approval to join.
Hidden messages are still missing after unhiding
