Method 1: Print Server Properties
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
- Scroll to Related settings and click Print server properties.
- Click the Drivers tab.
- Select a driver and click Properties to see its version, files, and location.
Shortcut: press Windows + R, type printui /s /t2, and press Enter to open the Drivers tab directly.
Method 2: Print Management
- Press Windows + R, type printmanagement.msc, and press Enter. (Available on Windows 10 Pro, Enterprise, and Education.)
- Expand Print Servers > your PC name > Drivers.
- The list shows each driver’s name, version, environment, and provider.
Method 3: PowerShell
Open PowerShell and run:

Device Manager
Some printers also appear in Device Manager under Print queues or Printers. Right-click the device, choose Properties > Driver to see the version. Print Server Properties gives a more complete list of printer drivers.
Remove an old printer driver
- Remove the printer first in Printers & scanners (click it > Remove device).
- Open Print server properties > Drivers, select the driver, and click Remove.
- Choose Remove driver and driver package and click OK.
If Windows says the driver is in use, restart the Print Spooler service (in services.msc) and try again.
