What Happens After You Cancel
- Core services stop. Users lose access to Workspace services such as Gmail, Calendar and Meet.
- Other Google services keep working. According to Google, additional services such as YouTube, Google Photos and Google Ads stay available.
- Cloud Identity accounts can still use Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides and Keep, but Workspace-only admin controls such as audits, reporting and sharing policies are removed.
- Shared drives become read-only. You can view their contents but can’t edit, move or delete them.
- Workspace data is deleted and can’t be restored.
When Billing Stops
On a monthly Flexible Plan, cancelling stops new charges straight away, though you may still be charged for use since your last payment. On an Annual/Fixed-Term Plan, Google charges the remaining balance of the contract, so check your renewal date before you cancel.
Cancelling During the Free Trial
You can cancel during the 14-day free trial without being charged. Google also cancels a trial automatically if you don’t verify your domain within 9 days (when that step applies) or don’t set up billing by the end of the trial.
