A Windows 10 PC can mirror its screen to many Roku devices using Miracast, provided both the computer and Roku model support the feature and the Roku’s screen-mirroring settings allow the connection. This is screen mirroring, not the same thing as casting from every individual app.
Prepare the Roku
- On the Roku, open Settings > System > Screen mirroring if the model provides that menu.
- Review the screen-mirroring mode and device permissions.
- Keep the Roku powered on and connected normally.
Connect from Windows 10
- On the PC, press Windows+K or open the Connect wireless-display controls available on your Windows 10 build.
- Wait for nearby compatible wireless displays to appear.
- Select the Roku.
- Approve the connection on the Roku if it prompts you.
- Use Windows display settings if you want to duplicate or otherwise adjust the display behavior.
If the Roku does not appear
Confirm that the Windows PC supports Miracast and that its Wi-Fi and graphics drivers are current. Desktop PCs without compatible wireless hardware may not support Miracast even when they have an Ethernet connection. Roku model and software support also varies.
Restart both devices and remove an old saved/blocked mirroring relationship if one exists. Avoid installing random “casting drivers” from third-party download sites.
Streaming video can behave differently
Some protected streaming services restrict screen mirroring because of digital-rights-management rules. Use the service’s Roku app when available rather than trying to bypass a black screen or playback restriction.
Windows 10 reached end of regular support in October 2025, so a supported Windows 11 device is preferable for ongoing use.
