Ordered a new phone, tablet or accessory from Verizon and cannot find the tracking number? You can still find out where it is. Verizon lets you check order status with your account or your order details, and the shipping carriers have tools that can show packages addressed to you even without a tracking number. This guide walks through each option, starting with the fastest.
Quick answer
Sign in to the My Verizon app or website and open your Orders (order status) section. Your recent orders appear there with their status and, once shipped, a tracking link. If you checked out as a guest, use Verizon’s order status lookup with your order number and the email address, phone number or ZIP code used for the order.
Option 1: Check your order in My Verizon
- Open the My Verizon app, or sign in on Verizon’s website.
- Find the Orders or Order status section. In the app it is usually under your account or the menu.
- Select the order to see its status, such as Processing, Shipped or Delivered.
- If it has shipped, tap the tracking link to open the carrier’s tracking page.
You do not need the tracking number for this; Verizon matches the order to your account.
Option 2: Look up the order without signing in
If you ordered without an account, or for someone else, use the order status lookup on Verizon’s website. You will typically need:
- The order number, and
- The email address, phone number or billing ZIP code used when ordering.
The order number is in your order confirmation email. Search your inbox, including spam, for “Verizon order” or “order confirmation”.
Option 3: Use the carrier’s delivery tools
Verizon ships through major carriers. Their free accounts can show incoming packages linked to your address, even if you never received a tracking number:
- UPS My Choice: sign up with your address and UPS shows packages heading to you.
- FedEx Delivery Manager: works the same way for FedEx deliveries.
- USPS Informed Delivery: shows mail and packages scheduled to arrive at your address.
Once you find the package, you can see its status and delivery estimate. If you are not sure what a status means, see what UPS “preparing for delivery” means.
Option 4: Contact Verizon
If none of the above works, contact Verizon customer service through the My Verizon app chat, by phone, or at a Verizon store. Have your account phone number, the name on the account, and the approximate order date ready. They can look up the order and resend the tracking details.
Why does my order show “shipped” with no tracking?
- The label was just created. Tracking often updates 24 to 48 hours after the label is printed, once the carrier scans the package.
- Multiple shipments. Phones and accessories may ship separately, each with its own tracking.
- Store pickup. If you chose in-store pickup, you get a pickup notification instead of shipping tracking.
Tips for when the package arrives
- Many phone deliveries require a signature. Use the carrier’s delivery tools to sign in advance or redirect the package if you will not be home.
- Keep the box and receipt until you are sure the device works.
- If you are thinking about protection for the new device, see Verizon Mobile Protect vs. AppleCare.

Frequently asked questions
How long does Verizon shipping take?
It depends on the shipping option you chose and stock levels. Standard shipping usually takes a few business days after the order ships; preorders and backordered items ship later. Your order details show the estimate.
Can someone else track my order?
Yes, if you share the tracking link or the order number and contact details used for the order. For privacy, avoid sharing your account login.
What if the package shows delivered but I do not have it?
Check around your door, with neighbors and your building’s mailroom, and wait until the end of the day, as scans sometimes happen early. If it is still missing, contact Verizon promptly so they can open a claim with the carrier.
