Where your saved passwords are on Windows 10 depends on what they’re for. How to see passwords in Credential Manager
- Click Start, type Credential Manager, and open it. Or go to Control Panel > User Accounts > Credential Manager.
- Click Web Credentials or Windows Credentials.
- Click the arrow next to an entry to expand it.
- Next to Password, click Show, then enter your Windows password or PIN.
Windows Credentials don’t have a Show button for security reasons. You can edit or remove them, but not view the password.
How to see saved passwords in Google Chrome
- Open Chrome, click the three-dot menu, and choose Passwords and autofill > Google Password Manager. Or type chrome://password-manager in the address bar.
- Click a website in the list.
- Enter your Windows PIN or password when asked.
- Click the eye icon to show the password, or the copy icon to copy it.

Only for accounts on your own PC that you have permission to access. Viewing requires that user’s Windows sign-in.
