Riot Client can be removed from Windows 11, but uninstall Riot games and Riot Vanguard appropriately first when they are no longer needed.
Steps
- Close Riot Client and any Riot games.
- Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps and uninstall the Riot games you want removed.
- Uninstall Riot Vanguard if no remaining installed Riot game requires it, then restart if prompted.
- Uninstall Riot Client from Installed apps when Windows offers it.
- Check remaining shortcuts/folders only after normal uninstallers finish; do not delete active service files by hand.
How it works
Vanguard is a separate anti-cheat component and may run services/drivers. Removing folders before uninstalling can leave broken registrations. If you plan to keep a Riot title that uses Vanguard, do not remove the component it requires.
