How to Turn Off the New Email Notification Sound in Outlook 2013

The steps below are going to change a setting on the Outlook 2013 Options menu so that you stop hearing the notification sound that plays when a new email arrives in your inbox. Step 1: Open Outlook 2013.

 

Step 2: Click the File tab at the top-left of the window.

Step 4: Scroll down to the Message arrival section of the menu, click the box to the left of Play a sound to remove the check mark, then click the OK button at the bottom of the window to apply your changes.
