How to Switch from the Rear to the Front-Facing Camera on the iPhone 5

Your iPhone 5 has two different cameras. One is on the rear of the device, and is the one that you probably use when you are taking pictures at an event. This camera has more functions, as well as a higher resolution. But the iPhone 5 also has a camera on the front of the device, and is the one that you are probably using when you make a FaceTime call. Both of these cameras have their uses, and certain apps will default to different options. But you can manually switch between these two cameras at any time by using one of the buttons on the Camera app.

The iPad Mini has two cameras on it, too. Check for the best current pricing on the iPad Mini here.

Switching Between the Two Cameras on the iPhone 5

As mentioned above, you will lose some function when you switch from the rear to the front-facing camera. These lost functions include the camera flash, as well as the HDR option. You will still be able to switch between the different camera modes, and you will still be able to add filters. So, with that in mind, you can follow the steps below to learn how to switch between the different camera options on the iPhone 5.
