How to Change an Email Account Name on an iPhone

The steps in this article will change the account name for an account that you have configured in the Mail app on your iPhone. This is mainly used to make it easier for you to identify an email account on your iPhone, either in the Mail settings menu, or in the folder view of the Mail app.

Step 1: Open the Settings menu.

Step 2: Scroll down and select the Mail, Contacts, Calendars option.

Step 3: Select the email account for which you want to change the account name. Note that this is one of the screen where your new account name will be displayed.

Step 5: Tap inside the Description field, delete the current description, then enter the new account name. You can tap the Done button at the top-right corner of the screen when you are finished.
