Can I Change the Snooze Time on an iPhone Alarm?

Using the alarm clock feature on your iPhone is a great habit to get into. Not only does it let you set an alarm wherever you are, but you can use it for alarms to help you wake up, as well as events throughout the day.

One of the options when you set an alarm on your iPhone is to enable a snooze option. This adds an extra button to the screen that you can tap when the alarm gores off, which will delay that alarm for a few minutes.

The length of the snooze delay is actually 9 minutes. For many people this is fine, but you might prefer something longer or shorter.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to change the snooze time on your iPhone alarm. It’s a default setting with no customization option.

There is a workaround that you can use, however, if you want to use a custom snooze time on your iPhone alarm.

Simply set multiple alarms around the time that you wish to snooze an alarm. For example, if you wanted to wake up at 6 AM, and you wanted to use a 15 minute snooze, you could set the first alarm to go off at 6 AM, then set another alarm to go off at 6:15 AM.

If you have an existing alarm that you would like to adjust, simply tap the Edit button at the top-left of the screen in the image above, then select the alarm that you want to edit. If you are using this alternate method, be sure to turn off the snooze setting for these alarms or you are going to have some extra alarms going off.

While this isn’t as simple or efficient as being able to adjust the snooze time, it does provide a similar experience. And since the iPhone doesn’t have a limit on the number of alarms that you can set you could have a lot of different alarms and accompanying snooze alarms for different days of the week.
